Raikaia 4th Grade Team - 24th May 2010
The team fought hard against a more experienced Wakanui team. Olivia did some great defensive work as left back and then as left half in the second half. Olivia has a good eye for the ball, rarely missing tackles she commits herself to. Congratulations from Veehof Dairy Services. Go Olivia! |

Raikaia 4th Grade Team - 18th May 2010
Player of match from ‘special game’ - our team was playing against a 3rd grade team as the 3rd graders don’t have many teams in the competition. The 4th graders are taking turns playing up a grade to give them a few more games. We were well and truly beaten but a stirling effort and some good perserverance from Rakaia. Bridgette McArthur did some great runs with the ball and is really working hard to apply the pointers given by her coach. Congratulations from Veehof Dairy Services. Good job Bridgette! |

We participated in a lameness research project in New Zealand between 2003/2004. There were three partners involved in the research so there has been a substantial effort made to get top quality results from the research conducted. We were surprised at some of the results we have seen so far. They are all positive for the future of dairy farming and cattle care in general.
